3.1 PineappleMan
I have a strange obsession with pineapples at the moment. I sketched this illustration and decided to give the Pineapple Man hairy legs. If a pineapple has such a serious and hardy skin, why shouldn't the Pineapple Man have a similar external barrier.
3.2 TeapotsWithSpunk
In class today we completed three illustrations of a teapot. One: your normal, everyday teapot; Two: an angry teapot; Three: a teapot on holidays. It is so interesting how the same mundane, everday object, can have its own personality through minor changes.
3.3 TrioOfTurtles
Similarly to the teapot exercise, this exercise was to illustrate a normal, happy and hurrying turtle.
3.4 Avocado-Bumpin-Around
Similarly to the Pineapple Man, I was interested to see if using another piece of fruit and adding human elements would give the illustration an identity. This illustration is of a pregant avodado.
3.5 IsotypeMen
The power and universality of isotypes is demonstrated in this illustration. The first face is an illustration of only a few men, the second a few more, the third is most men, and the last is all men.
3.6 SkeletonInTheCloset
This classic saying is illustrated here using the Brush tool in Illustrator. So much emotion is written on the characters face. The message is so clear.
3.7 Winnie
I love this quote from Winnie-the-Pooh. Although the illustration is slightly morbid, it conveys the message through illustration.
